Membership DENIED!

Ok, so maybe I'm being a little overdramatic in my title but it's never a nice feeling when you want to be a member of something, like a church for instance, & you can't.

Nick & I attended the Orchard Hill Church membership class on the 21st of Feb. We were actually thinking that the church might prefer that we become members since we are getting married there. Well, we soon found out that they would actually prefer that we DO NOT become members just yet since we live together & aren't married. We were the only two people in our class of like 30 that didn't actually become members. Now, I know it's not that big of a deal but it just makes you feel like a bad person or something. It's not like we just met each other & decided to cohabitate! We've been together almost 7 YEARS & have lived together for a good 4 to 5 of those years! Anyways, like I said, it's not that big of a deal. If we decide that we still want to be members after we're married then we don't have to take the class over again. All we would do is meet w/ the elders of the church for a dinner w/ a different membership class & they have to "approve" us & then we can be members. So, we'll see.
