Friends & Family

The 16th was Jerod's 20th birthday so we had a little get together at my mom's the following Fri. My mom made some yum-yum chili & a cake w/ caramel & heath bars in it...WAY good! Pretty much everyone was there except for Joe; he had to work. Even Brandon's close friend Cy came. He is in the Navy & was visiting for a week. It was really good to see him! He has defiantly gotten A LOT bigger since the last time I saw him!! Dang! He could totally kick my butt!

That Fri was the day that we had to deal w/ the FOOT of snow that had fallen the night before!! It's a good thing my neighbor has a skid loader & is nice enough to let us use it or I would have been stranded! Nick tried to go to work early that morning but got stuck twice within a few miles of our house so he just came back home. He helped Chad shovel their driveway until they could get to the skid loader. Nick loves that thing which I don't mind at all!! ;) I ended up being an hour late for work but I made it up so it all worked out.

The next day was the Siebel side Christmas at Hickory Hills. I was surprised that we were still having it considering the bad weather. We got down there about 2:30 & were only there for about an hour & a half. The wind started blowing & drifting the snow so we packed up early & headed back home. Brandon, Jerod, & Ally rode together & ended up sliding & hitting a tree on the way there!! Crazy boys! It really didn't do anything to the car but it really wouldn't have mattered considering Jerod's car is a piece.

We all decided to head to Brandon & Brice's duplex to hang out for the rest of the night. Anna, Ruzz, & I stopped by HyVee & grabbed some munchies & alcohol & then met up w/ Brandon, Jerod, Ally, & Brice at the plex. (Nick showed up later.)

Nick had to work since he didn't get to all his stops the day before so he had to drive down to the Missouri boarder & back. He didn't end up getting home until 7:30ish. I was pretty nervous & very glad when he made it back to town!!

Sun morning was our Christmas with Barb & Collin. Barb is Nick's ex-step-mom & Collin is his half brother. Nicole, Grant, & Little G were there too. We had a scrumptious brunch of crepes, fruit, sticky rolls, breakfast casserole, & sausages wrapped in bacon...aka...heart attack waiting to happen! ;) Little G cracks me up!! He's sooo smart & funny...oh, & spoiled!! He had fun opening all his...& other people's...presents! It was a holly jolly time!!

Christmas Spirit...or should I say Spirits!

I had every intention of updating my blog throughout the Christmas festivities but as you can see...that went down the drain. I've just had soooo much going on! So, let's get up to date.....

It was CHRISTMAS COOKIE TIME a few weeks ago!! I went to my mom's after work & we decided to bust out our baking skills! Anna, Ruzz, mom, & I made all sorts of different shaped cookies! We had a Christmas dinosaur & a Christmas crocodile...Hey! They need Christmas too!! ;) We always like to throw in a couple "off beat" shapes w/ the usual ones! We also had some naughty shaped cookies! Get your mind out of the gutter!! It's a different kind of naughty!! I decided to cut out a design for Jerod since his birthday was coming up. It was a weed leaf!! (Hee hee!) He likes that sort of thing! Personally, I think I did a damn fine job!! It's hard to cut a design out of dough!

I went Christmas shopping w/ Anna the next day, Fri afternoon. I got most of my presents bought! (Christmas shopping stresses me out!!) That night I went to a Surprise Party at Steph's. (It's like a Passion's Party.) I told myself that I wasn't going to buy anything...oops. Bridge came up from Springville so I got to see her along w/ some old friends from high school! Steph, Bridge, Summer, & I decided to go out after the party. We headed to Casey's where Alyssa met up w/ us. It was good times!

That Sat we all went over to Diane's for our Christmas Movie/Chili Day! (Well, almost all of us. Brandon had to work during the day & then he had his work Christmas party that night so he couldn't make it.) We started the afternoon by making cute little reindeer cookies & pretzels covered in almond bark! (Yummy!) We also started off w/ some shots... We ended up doing more drinking then watching movies!! We watched the beginning of A Christmas Story & that was about it! The rest of the night consisted of a lot of Duck Fart shots, other alcoholic beverages, N64, Wii, drinking games, & dancing! Things got pretty crazy!! We had to make a trip to HyVee to get some more to drink...like we needed it...& Anna & Alyssa decided to do cartwheels. Now, Anna sucks at them when she is sober so you can only imagine how she is at them when she is under the influence... Needless to say she ended up w/ a wet butt & people laughing at her!! It was one hell of a night even if dad may or may not have passed out on the garage stairs..... ;)
