That's How We Do: Brown Bottle Flu

At this time last Sat I was just getting out of bed...& heading for the bathroom. I had had a little bit too much fun the night before. The plan was to go to Diane's after work on Fri to hang w/ everyone & play some good old board games. Well, that is what I did but I also got acquainted w/ Captain Morgan. Now usually I am good about my alcohol intake but for some reason that night I just kept suckin them down. We started off w/ Mad Gab which I suck at BTW & then we moved on to Taboo. Things started to get a bit fuzzy during Taboo & Anna & I ended up losing. I think Anna wanted to hurt me because that is our game & we LOST! We usually rock that game! We even beat my mom & aunt & they are TWINS!! Anyways, Alyssa (Diane's daughter) decided that we were going to go out!

I know we went to Toad's & the Pump Haus because I somehow ended up with a Toad's glass & a Pump Haus cup...I'm a thief when I'm drunk I guess?? I think we went to Cypress & the Landmark...I think?? I've never been to either of those bars before that night so I can't say for sure. All I know is that I talked to many a stranger & went on & on to one dude about how I could totally beat him at Mario Kart N64. I'm sure I was annoying as hell! We ended the night at Happy Chef. Nick, being the wonderful fiance that he is, got out of bed & came & picked me up at like 3:30 in the morning. He had stayed home that night because he had a cold & wasn't feeling well. (Now that is true love...getting out of bed to pick up your smashed future wife while feeling like shit on a cold November morning!) I LOVE YOU HONEY!! ;)

Needless to say my Sat was wasted. I stayed in bed until 3:00. I then moved down to the couch where I stayed until I went back to bed Sat night. If I tried talking or opening my eyes I would instantly feel nauseous. All I have to say is that it is a good thing there is a waste basket in my living room! Anna ended up being Nick's date to the hockey game since I was out of commission. She was my little nurse when they got back. She made me tomato soup & grilled cheese. It was 9:30 & I was finally able to function & keep food down. THANKS ANNA!!

Nick, Anna, & I went to church on Sun. (I still had a stomach ache!) Anna & I then went to Twilight again. LOVES IT!! She started the 2nd book, New Moon. I'm waiting to see if I get it for Christmas. She said the beginning of the book is sad. Edward leaves Bella for awhile I guess. Don't worry; he was just coming to see me! ;)

The rest of the week I was putting up my Christmas decorations & fighting a cold. I felt so crappy on Thur that I left work early to go home & take a nap...a 3 hour nap that is. Nick must have passed his cold onto me. Maybe it's my payback for last Fri!?!

Last night was fun! We had mom, Darwin, Anna, Ruzz, Teresa, & Gary over for dinner & Christmas movies. Well, that was the plan anyway. We didn't realize that the Schwan's lasagna that we were going to eat took 2 HOURS to bake! While waiting for it to get done we started decorating the tree! OMG!! I love love LOVE it!! Sooooooo gorgeous!! I personally think it looks like a tree in a magazine or in a department store!! Best Tree EVER!! (The pictures don't do it justice!) We finally ate around 9:00 & then popped in Christmas Vacation. Mom, Darwin, Teresa, & I watched that while Nick & Gary played some pool in the basement. Anna & Ruzz had left early because she wasn't feeling well...I guess I may have shared my cold w/ her. What is family for?!?
