That's How We Do: Back To The Old Grind

I'm back...well, I'm back physically, not so much mentally. Work was tough. It's always hard to concentrate after a long weekend. I'm already looking forward to my next long weekend which isn't until the end of the month. Anna & I are going on a sister date to the Carrie Underwood concert in Sioux City! We're WAY excited!! We almost lost our voices from singing along to her CDs on the way down to Missouri! (No one ever wants to ride w/ us if that gives you any indication as to our singing abilities!) Anyway, back to the weekend. As I had hoped, I had a fun & relaxing weekend!!

We arrived late Fri night so we didn't do much. Sat morning we woke up early...ish & had to put up a tent for my brother Brandon & his friend Brice to sleep in. (They arrived @ about 3:30 AM Sat morning! Crazy boys!) Anyhoo, it literally took 6 people & about 45 minutes to put that damn thing together! :D We had no instructions or pictures! Pretty funny...let me tell ya!

After our fun old time w/ the tent we headed out to the lake! GOOD times! We just cruised around the lake & stopping here & there to swim. Nick did some skiing but the water was kind of choppy so that didn't last to long. Brice brought his dog Shadow along so it was fun playing w/ her & believe me...she had some fun herself!

We were pretty hungry when we got back to the camper so we made some snacks, played some Mankala, & chilled. Dad had blown up an air mattress for the boys so Nick & I decided to take a nap in the shade...well, Nick napped...I pretty much just took pictures!

We had some delicious steaks Sat night & then it was party time! I had a little bit to much fun! I'm glad I have a camera to capture moments that I might otherwise forget.

I didn't feel so hot Sun morning...only God knows why!?! ;) So, I slept half the day away & made a trip to the bathroom to ride the...I guess it would be plastic bus! I felt better after that so it was off to the boat again! I LOVE that boat! Brandon was driving it & I have to admit...it can be kinda scary but FUN! We would go as fast as we could & hit the wakes so that we would all get drenched! It was a blast!

Sun night we had a BIG dinner & then had the family over for a bonfire! We also busted out the bean bag toss game...not sure what the actual name is?? My sister Anna & cousin Missy pretty much rule at the game but Nick & I ended up beating them!! We played Brandon & Brice too...victory was ours!! :D

Mon morning we had a large breakfast & then headed to the tennis courts. Anna & Missy play tennis...I don't. So, I just hung out & took some pictures. After that we went back out to the lake to do some tubing! (I'm pretty sore today!) I had one wipe out when Brandon & I went for a ride but other then that I owned that tube! Big Bertha is the best tube ever!! :)
