So, since everyone was SO busy over the holidays & because the weather sucked, we ended up having our Secret Sister Reveal Party on the 27th of January. I don't recall ever mentioning Secret Sisters so I'll explain... My mom started the whole Secret Sister thing at our church in Washburn. It's pretty much like Secret Santa but it is all year long so they changed it to Sister. Anyhoo, we wait until the end of the year to reveal who we had & give our final "big" gift. This year we met at Lone Star. My SS "supposedly" didn't get me enough throughout the year so she went overboard on my final gift!! I, personally, think she did great but whatever! So, I left the party feeling full & spoiled! Thanks Marty!! :D
(Side Note: Marty's husband just recently passed away. They were very close & only found out he had cancer a few months ago. My prayers & heart go out to her & her family.)

The following Thursday was Sadie's 20th birthday! We didn't have a cake so we made due!

The next night Anna & I were going to go to the hockey game but decided instead to head over to the Cornerstone for some dinner & pool. As you can see below...we like taking A LOT of pointless pictures!

Because of the hustle & bustle of the holidays we decided to have our work Christmas party the last Sat in January. Now, I actually work w/ over 200 people & the company doesn't have any sort of holiday party so the group that I'm in usually plans one to celebrate. We had it at Screaming Eagle in downtown Waterloo. I had never been there before that night but everything was good & we had a really fun time! There happened to be a group of 60 there which caused quite a wait for our food so the manager was nice enough to give us a FREE ROUND! Gotta love that! To add to the fun we did a White Elephant gift exchange. It's sort of hard to explain but the jest of it is that everyone gets a #. The person w/ #1 takes a gift. The person w/ #2 can then take a new gift OR steal the gift from #1. It just continues like that. I think I had 3 or so gifts stolen from me! Curses & drats!! :D It didn't matter though cuz I ended up w/ a box of wine & a set of wine glasses! SO THERE gift stealers!! (Hee! Hee!)

After the Christmas party Nick, Heather, Joey, Crystal, Katherine, Paul, & I drove to E-dale & stopped by Lofty's for a drink. Katherine & Paul headed home after that & the rest of us stopped by Hoochies. It was great spending time w/ some of the original CIQ girls!! (P.S. CIQ is the name of our group at work. It means Customer Information Quality. Like you care but whatever.)
